About Us

I was always bored as a child. I grew up to discover that boredom is the new “critical” as brain fodder to create and solve problems. Why didn’t anyone tell me that when I was a kid? It would have saved my mother years of me pestering her with “what can I do now?”

I wanted to create things-but I didn’t know that until I was in college. But I was a practical person, so I became a nurse.

I knit and hooked rugs and embroidered-and journaled. Gradually I started to doodle and then draw in my journals and developed a desire to tell stories with my pictures. I came to comics by accident in my 60’s! Cartooning? Comic’ing? Graphic stories or novels or memoirs? I chose to get busy creating comics rather than fussing with what to label this passion. I’m excited to get caught up in this rich medium, and to slowly bring a story or two to life in this Act 3 of my life.

When not cartooning, I enjoy my life with my husband and two young and rambunctious cats Merlin of the Invisible Coat and Ziggy Stardust. We enjoy life in California without snow. I retired in January 2021, I bicycle and embroider, and I Zoom with my friends all over the world as we emerge from the pandemic.
